28th Born to Run 5 Mile Race set for Friday after Thanksgiving This will bet the 28th year of the race and this year it will benefit the Open Door Food Pantry. Last year's race had to be cancelled due to the after effects of Hurricane Sandy.Coming in first for the men in 2011 was Andrew Huston of Portland, Oregon in a time of 27:21. He was followed by Brendan Lyman of Old Bridge in 28:30 and then Joe Donahue of Point Pleasant in 28:43.On the women's side it was Erica White of Orlando, Florida in a time of 30:13 followed by Rachel Morris of Marlboro in 31:57 and Shannon Gillespie of Middletown in 32:46The Course Records are for the men, Kevin Kellyin 1997 in a time of 24:45 and for the women , Michele Lilenthal, in 2006 in a time of 27:59.Any runner who breaks either of those records will earn $100.00.Mail in and on line registration is available. at the Freehold Fire House located at, 51 W.The event is known for it's great long sleeve shirts that are perfect for the colder winter weather.
